EPLACING

THE

ODULE

You only need to replace the fan module when a failure occurs. When this happens, the

Fan LED glows red, and the device generates an event alarm and an SNMP trap.

To remove the fan module:

1. Pull the fan lever until it is fully extended.

2. Grip the sides, then gently slide the assembly straight out.

Note: During the one-year warranty period, you can obtain a replacement fan module by

contacting NetScreen Technical support. After the warranty period, contact the NetScreen

Sales department.

Warning: Do not remove the fan module while the fans are still spinning.
